A Shy and Lovely Lady

I recently had the opportunity to do a photo session with Sarah, who was nice enough to pose for me while I practiced some lighting techniques. After meeting her and eating some delicious vegan cookies (yes, that's a real thing that exists), I was surprised to find that she is incredibly shy, and yet had still volunteered to help. I am very grateful for the chance to practice new skills, and to get to photograph such a sweet person! Here are some of my favorites, with her permission of course. 

A Very Derby Wedding

So I'm sure you all remember Jenny and Stephen, from such posts as Jenny + Stephen at Machinery Row, but did you know that Jenny and Stephen tied the knot at the end of October? You did? Oh well, I'll just hush up and show you the pictures then! 

Stephanie + Rene at Cool Beans

Stephanie and Rene are family. Not the kind of family you're born into, but the kind you pick out on your own. They're two of my favorite people, and the life of my little three person household has been better since we adopted Stephanie and Rene and their daughter Noelle as part of our extended tribe. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when they shared the good news of their engagement! Here they are, bein' all cute at Cool Beans on the east side of Madison.
